TRE®

TRE® Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercise

TRE® is a body somatic self-help therapy, using your own healing natural mechanism (tremoring/shaking off any tension) to bring balance back into your physical/mental body.

I would teach you how to reactivate your own tremors through a series of 7 very simple exercises aiming at fatiguing/stretching your legs and hips. I would teach you how to self regulate so you can do this therapy safely from your own home and at your own pace.

I usually recommend a minimum of 3 sessions to start with to build up your confidence in using it at home.

We can then do follow up session when you feel you need more support. For example you are stuck in a pattern or you are coming across some challenges.

Depending of your life experience, you would need more sessions before feeling comfortable to do this on your own.

TRE is not a talking therapy and you do not need to talk about your past trauma.

I am NOT trained in mental health issues and will therefore only be able to take you on if you are already seeing a trained therapist and want to use TRE alongside it.

My background and training are more on body work and emotional work, and I am a certified TRE provider - please see my website for more details.

Prior to booking an appointment, I will ask you to complete an intake form. If I feel I do not have the training to take you on for your own safety, I would refer you to a more specific trained TRE Provider.

What to wear?

Please wear something comfortable, for example leggings, joggers, loose trousers (no jeans as it is too restricting) and a long sleeve top or T-shirt. I need to be able to see your feet and your hands at all times. Please bring a pair of socks. We will be either bare feet or with socks, your choice.

Your first individual session will last approximately 1 hour - after which session would usually be 45 min.
